5 Reasons Your Sorority Experience Will Land You Your Dream Job.

Furthermore, 85 percent of Fortune 500 leaders are members of a sorority or fraternity, and many sorority women have gone down in history for their leadership and innovation as senators, astronauts, authors, actresses and philanthropists.

The passion, commitment, precision and poise embodied by these sorority women has shaped their professional success, and it can do the same for you.

Here are just a few reasons why your sorority experience will set you apart when applying for your dream internship or looking for full-time employment after graduation:

During my internship with my chapter’s national philanthropy, I worked to increase autism awareness and acceptance while gaining professional experience at Autism Speaks events across Northeast Ohio.

Being in a Greek organization helps you to network and connect with millions of other Greeks across the nation. Every supervisor I have ever had was in a Greek organization and held a leadership role in their chapter, and during every job interview, potential employers have asked me about my Greek experience. I have received second interviews simply because of my sorority affiliation, and I gained an internship with Autism Speaks as a result of working with the organization through my chapter.

So, don’t be afraid to flaunt your sorority experience on your resume and during your next job interview. You might just be the next famous sorority woman to take the corporate world by storm.
